Last night I sat in on an auction at Lund's hoping to find a much needed storage cabinet. I didn't get a cabinet but Did manage to do a few sketches. The place was packed!

Beacon Hill Park Play ParkOn Site

Play Park

Scene redone tidier
I like to do some warm up sketching before starting a serious painting. This morning I went out to paint at Beacon Hill Park and sketched a small scene at the children's play park. The top is the sketch I did there and then redid it at home thinking I would like the tidier version better. Hmmmmn.

Wild Child of the Beach, Ogden Point

Okay, these drawings are rough. But this little girl was all over the place. I think she was really enjoying my sketching her.

Jamming Session

I went to a local cafe tonight where they had a jamming session. Here's a few sketches I did on location.

Here's another narrative using the same character with another kid I sketched way back. I think this could make a good beach painting too.

Solitude on a Victoria Beach

I was sitting on the beach this morning when this crow came to join me. I wondered where its mate was. Perhaps on the nest? These lovely, intelligent birds, mate for life. The oldest known American crow (in the wild) lived almost 30 years.
