Pride Parade 2015

This is my sketchbook opened flat with two different sketches. The left side is my sketch from Canada Day and the right side is my sketch from the Pride Parade. But the two sketches flow together like one scene.  Just about every week there is some festival or other all summer in Victoria. (The woman on the right in the black skirt is Victoria artist Carollyne Yardley (also known as the Squirrel Artist).

Here's a little scene I captured today in front of the Empress. I like the happy and relaxed feel of this little scene. It would make a nice oil painting I think.

I've been participating in the Sunday paint out on the Empress lawn. Here's a scene from last Sunday. It was so windy and cold. The two ladies in big hats are artists. I love the little dog.
